Washington Depot, CT: Level III is specifically designed for dancers and
trained movers interested in the technical principles of Pilobolus's signature
movement style and its relationship to the collaborative creative process. This workshop brings to bear all
elements of Pilobolus technique and method to provide the means to explore
fully how the company makes dances. The curriculum is founded on advanced analysis
and practice of complex partnering, choreography, collaborating, directing and
explores the extrapolation and use of this material within a collective
choreographic framework. The work
will be intensely physical, intellectually and emotionally challenging, and
provide a comprehensive introduction to the company's physical culture and
creative philosophy.
To be considered for this Advanced Workshop, you must be 18+, you must have
taken Level I or Level II,
or a Pilobolus Community Workshop.
On your Application please indicate when and where you have taken a
Pilobolus Workshop. Your application must be accompanied by a resume, and
a photo.
Tuition: $550.00 and does not include transportation, room or board. On
Wednesday evening of the week, the group will go to the Joyce to see a
performance of Pilobolus and meet with the dancers. A deposit of $100 is required to reserve a space.
